Farmers market season is back and St. Louis residents are ready to go shopping. 

Maybe you are a farmer market regular, or maybe you just want to pick up the freshest peaches in town during harvest season.

This year I’m going to try to make it to all of the markets in St. Louis City and County. I’d love to hear about your favorite market – just leave a note in the comments.

St. Louis Farmers Market Schedule | Arch City Homes

My goal is to make this the most complete list of St. Louis region farmers markets, so let me know if you discover a market has closed, changed its hours, or you know of a market that needs to be added to the list.

St. Louis City:

Cherokee Street Farmers Market
Location:
 
South St. Louis (2647 Cherokee, St. Louis, MO 63118)
Dates:  June – mid October
Hours: Fridays 4 – 7 pm
This is a producer only market with all vendors located within 100 miles of the market. Focus on produce, art and crafts. For customers of limited income we have a coupon program for free produce at the market. They accept SNAP and will double your eligible purchases at the market, up to $10.

City Greens Market (The Grove)
Location:
 The Grove (4260 Manchester, St. Louis, MO 63110)
Dates:  Year Round
Hours: Tuesday – Friday 10 am – 6 pm, Saturdays 9 am – 1 pm
Indoor market that sells naturally grown produce (grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides) at cost or below cost in an effort to provide healthy food to the community. There is also a Mobile Market (think food truck) on Monday mornings serving the neighborhoods of MIDTOWN Center, the Gate District, Tiffany and Shaw neighborhoods. The mobile market will offer the same fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats and staples at its locations. Find out whre the mobile market will be by following them on Twitter @citygreenstl. 

North City Farmer’s Market
Location:
Old North City – across the street from Crown Candy (St. Louis Avenue & N 14th Street)
Dates:  June – mid October
Hours:
 Saturdays 10 am – 1 pm
All vendors are local with products grown, raised or created near the St. Louis area. They accept SNAP and will double your eligible purchases at the market, up to $10.

Saint Louis Swap Meet (Cherokee)
Location:
Lemp Brewery (Cherokee and Lemp)
Dates: Mid May – mid November
Hours: Sundays 9:30 am – 3 pm
New outdoor market in 2015 with space for 200 vendors. Dog, bike and family friendly. Variety of type of vendors, not sure yet how many will be selling typical farmer market products. 

Soulard Farmers Market
Location:
Soulard (730 Carroll Street St. Louis Missouri 63104)
Dates: Year Round 
Hours:
 Wednesdays/Thursdays 8 am – 5 pm, Fridays 7 am – 5 pm, Saturdays 7 am – 5:30 pm
Indoor and outdoor market that features locally grown and shipped in goods including: produce, meats, cheeses, spices, flowers, baked goods and general merchandise. There is also a pet shop and several different eateries in the market. Limited outside and produce vendors open Wed – Fri. 

Tower Grove Farmers’ Market
Location: 
Tower Grove Park (West of the Whitaker Theater at the Pool Pavilion)
Dates:
Mid April through November
Hours:
Saturdays 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
Focus on local produce, meat and food products. Free yoga (9 AM) and QiGong (8 AM), along with artisan vendors and non-profits. Free family-friendly live music from 10 AM  – 12 PM. 

Washington University School of Medicine Local Growers Farmer’s Market (Central West End)
Location:Central West End (Washington University Medical School Plaza outside of the School of Medicine Bookstore) map
Dates:
April – early November
Hours:
 Thursdays 10 am – 2 pm
Items available include seasonal produce, trail mix, cheeses, honey, olive oil, whole wheat breads and yogurt.
Winter Market: Indoor market mid-November through March at McDonnell Pediatric Research atrium (map)

St. Louis County:

Creve Coeur Farmers Market
Location: Westgate Shopping Center (12320 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur MO)
Dates: May – October
Hours: Saturdays 8 am – 12 pm
Offering meats, dairy, vegetables, fruits and other crafted goods. All goods are grown or created within the metro St. Louis region.

Ellisville Community Farmers Market
Location: Bluebird Park (225 Kiefer Creek Rd, Ellisville MO)
Dates: Late May – September
Hours: 
Thursdays 4 pm – 7:30 pm
The Ellisville Community Farmers Market is a neighborhood, “producer” market where everything is homegrown, homemade and handmade. This market is a family-friendly event with music, children’s activities and lots of produce and fine products. During June and July, there is also a free summer concert series starting at 7 pm.

Old Towne Fenton Farmers Market
Location: Old Towne Pavilion (200 Gravois Rd)
Dates: May – October
Hours: 
Saturdays 8 am – 1 pm
Fresh and locally grown produce, prepared food, flowers, plants, baked goods, handmade arts and crafts and much more. Also enjoy live music and special events throughout the season.

Ferguson Farmer’s Market
Location: Ferguson (20 S Florissant Rd Ferguson, MO 63135)
Dates: May – October
Hours: Saturdays 8 am – 12 pm (winter market 3rd Saturdays 9 am – 12 pm – St. Stephens Parish Hall)
Focus on fresh produce, picked within 24 hours of market and sold by the farmers who grow them. Other products include homemade jelly, farm fresh eggs, cheese, honey, spices, organic meats, and gift/speciality items. Enjoy live music and yoga (9:30 AM) in a festive family atmosphere.
Winter Market: 3rd Saturday 9 AM – 12 PM at St. Stephens (33 N. Clay, Ferguson MO 63135)

Kirkwood Farmer’s Market
Location:
Downtown Kirkwood (150 East Argonne Drive, Kirkwood MO 63122)
Dates: April – September
Hours: Mondays – Fridays 9 am – 8 pm, Saturdays 8 am – 5 pm, Sundays hours vary by vendor
Best selection of locally grown produce is on early Saturday mornings. Shipped in produce available during all market hours, along with other edible products, plants and speciality items.

Midtown Farmers Market (University City)
Location: University City Loop (6655 Delmar Blvd, University City MO 63130)
Dates: March and April (1st & 3rd Saturday), every Saturday beginning May
Hours: Saturdays 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Located in the heart of The Loop with local produce and edible products, and live music. 

Overland Farmer’s Market
Location: Downtown Overland (2500 Woodson Rd Overland, MO 63114)
Dates: Early May – October
Hours: Saturdays 8 am – 12:30 pm
Focus on local – produce, hormone/antibiotic free grass fed beef, honey, salsa, homemade pies, breads, baked goods and artisans. Live music, special events, and food for purchase by various vendors every week. Covered pavilion means rain doesn’t interfere with the market. 

Pacific Farmer’s Market
Location:
 216 S. 1st St, Pacific, MO 63069
Dates: Opens in May
Hours: Saturdays 9 am – 1 pm
Crooked Creek Beef, several produce vendors, (tomatoes, sweet corn, cantalope, watermelon and much more), honey, jams, jellies, sweet & spicy mustard, sweet treats, soaps, herbs, goat cheese, paracord items, jewelry and many more items.

Schlafly Farmers Market (Maplewood)
Location: 7260 Southwest Ave, St Louis, MO 63143
Dates: April – October
Hours:  Wednesdays 4 – 7 pm
Focus on local produce, farm fresh eggs, pork, lamb, beef, herbs, mushrooms, artisanal loaves, flowers, pasta and chocolate. Vendors change from week to week. They accept SNAP and will double your eligible purchases at the market, up to $20.
Winter Market: One Saturday per month November – March 8:30 AM – 12 PM

Webster Groves Farmers Market
Location: Webster Groves Gazebo Park (Big Bend and S. Old Orchard/E. Lockwood)
Dates: May – October
Hours: Thursdays 3 – 6:30 pm
Focus on produce and products from Missouri and Illinois. Also enjoy live music, chef demonstrations and children’s activities. Now accepting SNAP/EBT cards.

Wildwood Farmers Market
Location: Wildwood Town Center (220 Plaza Drive, Wildwood, MO)
Dates: Late May – early October (winter market and holiday markets in November and December)
Hours: Saturdays 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Focus on local seasonal produce, home made, home grown food products and artisan wares. Kid’s Market tent with special projects and activities for the “little sprouts” along with live music.

St. Charles County:

Chandler Hill Vineyards Artisans Market (Defiance)
Location:
Chandler Hill Vineyard – Defiance (

Dates: Mid May – early November
Hours: Sundays 11 am – 4 pm
Local produce, honey, salsa, jellies, baked goods, jewelry (including repurposed jewelry), photography, pottery, pet treats, soaps and lotions.

Lake St. Louis Farmers & Artists Market
Location: Lake St. Louis Meadows Shopping Center (Hwy 40 and Lake St. Louis Blvd)
Dates: April – October
Hours: Saturdays 8 am – 12 pm
St. Charles County’s only producer-only market. Everything is made, grown, produced or baked within 100 miles of the market.
Winter Market: Winter market monthly Saturdays November – March from 9 AM – 12 PM

St. Charles Lions Club Farmer’s Market
Location: Historic St. Charles (300 No Riverside Drive, St. Charles, Missouri 63301)
Dates: Mid May – October
Hours: Saturdays 7 am – 12 pm
Focus on produce, handmade soaps, bakery goods, jams and craft items.

 Jefferson County:

Arnold Farmers Market
Location: Arnold City Park
Dates: May – 3rd Saturday in October
Hours: Saturdays 8 am – 12 pm
Focus on produce, meats, eggs, honey, plants, herbs and crafts.

Byrnes Mill Farmers Market
Location: Grassy strip off Hwy 30 by McDonalds (between Upper Byrnes Mill Rd and Hwy MM)
Dates: Mid May – September
Hours: Fridays 3 – 7 pm
Seasonal vegetables, fresh breads, pastries, jellies, olive oil, home made soaps, crafted jewelry, wood products, farm fresh eggs and even live bunnies.

DeSoto Farmers’ Market

Location: DeSoto – St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church (1004 Rock Rd., De Soto MO 63020)
Dates: May – October
Hours: Saturdays 7:30 am – 12 pm
All items sold at the market are made or grown 100% by our local vendors. Items include produce, honey, jellies, jams, poultry, beef, baked goods, seedlings, plants, crafts, jewelry and soaps. Live music and kids activities from 9-11 am.

Franklin County:

New Haven Farmer’s Market
Location: Downtown New Haven (Olive and Main)
Dates: May – August
Hours: Thursdays 4 pm
Products by farmers and home gardeners. 

Washington Farmers’ Market
Location: Washington (317 W Main St, Washington, MO 63090)
Dates: April – October
Hours: Saturdays 8 am – 1 pm
Focus on produce, meat, plants, baked goods and handmade items.
